Partnering with Feed the Frontlines to Connect Chinatown’s Restaurants with New Yorkers in Need

Community and supporting small businesses are central tenants to the Welcome to Chinatown mission. By partnering with Feed the Frontlines NYC, we’re able to connect Chinatown’s restaurants with people in need.

Feed the Frontlines was co-founded by Isabella Di Pietro, who comes from a NYC restaurant family. Last Spring, she postponed her college graduation in order to start this initiative to help both local restaurant workers and New Yorkers. To date, Feed the Frontlines has delivered over 138,000 meals to healthcare workers and to those facing food insecurity.

Through this partnership, FTF and WtC have served over 600 meals since May and have been able to channel $6,000 back into Chinatown restaurants. Even though most restaurants are now open, sales are down about 50-80% compared to last year. Organizations like Feed the Frontlines help to mitigate these loses. Welcome to Chinatown continues to partner with FtF through the generosity of their donors.

You can donate directly to Feed the Frontlines here. If you’d like donations to go directly to Chinatown, you can choose “Support Chinatown Restaurants” under the Designation Label drop down menu or write in “For Chinatown Restaurants.” Thank you for your support!
